Preparing for tomorrow

Today is the last day Rose will have the tummy she was born with. I’m trying not to be a sissy about it but I can’t help it. Today will just have to be a weak day… tomorrow is what counts.

I’m feeling guilty!! Each time I look at her I wish I could prepare her for tomorrow and I hope.. fervently.. that we’ve decided the best thing for her. It’s the most conservative way forward, Rose and it’s recommended by all your doctors! I just hope there aren’t too many nasty surprises in store for you down the track as a result of this operation!

I’ll give you all an update tomorrow night.

Sending lots of love, hugs and good vibes to you, Rose and Andrew today. You are brilliant parents. With all the research, observation, consultation, reflection etc that you have put into this decision process, I don’t think anyone could have possibly handled it with more care or diligence than you guys have. So I think you should be feeling proud of yourselves. Hope all goes well for your beautiful little champion Rose. We are thinking of you all xxx
