Looks like I’ve managed to give Rose her first cold. It is the very last thing she needs given her already compromised airway. If she feels half as bad as I do I can’t imagine how her tiny body will survive this but her nurse seems calm about it when I talk to her on the phone.
They’re putting in a cannula for fluids and doing her bloods etc to identify viral infection. She’s not keeping her feeds down at all and has been listless and sleepy all day. No temps yet though.
I am beside myself with worry and guilt and just want to be with her! Thank goodness Andrew is.
It’s not your fault. Whatever you may think. Are they doing CSI swabs to determine that you were the one who gave her the cold? It could have been me for goodness sake!
At any rate, guilt is a useless emotion hon. Step away from it. Just give your sick boys at home lots of extra love. They need you.
