Rose has had increased mucus and has been vomiting more frequently and feeding for shorter periods. This morning she was coughing and sneezing and to me she sounds snotty when she breathes. Her nurse is going to swab and test for viral infection.
So far she doesn’t have a temperature so I’m still hopeful. Could be extreme paranoia.. a common parental condition exacerbated by prolonged stays in NICU.
We weighed her this morning and she had put on 20g until we realised we hadn’t taken her nappy off!! So she’s lost 10g. Not too bad given all the vomiting.
I’ll update this post when results are back but it probably won’t be for 24 hours. We should know by looking at her by then either way.
Gorgeous pic of the little lady. Good luck with the virus check. Lx
She is so beautiful. Thinking of you… Fingers and toes crossed that it’s not a virus. Hope the mucus and vomiting settle down soon. You are doing an amazing job! Xx
What a sweet photo- she’s looking much fuller even with the vomiting. Jxx
Jane – this is such a beautiful photo! Hoping along with everyone that it is not a viral infection!
Have just got back to Bec’s – haven’t seen her yet, she works very, very long hours, but it is great to be back on email and Rose Eir were of course the first ones I opened! xoxo
I love this photo. How beautiful. Sending love and gentle hugs xxxx
