Rose pulled out her ventilation (ET) tube about 2:30am today. So they C-PAP’d her. I’m sure given time and use of her own hands she will deal with the C-PAP mask in a similar fashion. She’s not well pleased with her situation.

We just had drs rounds. Plan is:
1. Remove C-PAP
2. Back to high-flow (4 litres to be weaned)
3. Previnar immunisation tomorrow
4. Try gastric feeding again over weekend to see how her reflux is going
5. Breastfeed breastfeed breastfeed x

Rose was super unsettled this afternoon for our cuddle. She wanted to BF but couldn’t suck properly. Think tube or mucus interfering. She cried for hours. Just like a real baby!!!

She’s been moved to a cot and wrapped beautifully by Declan, her nurse today.

Sounds like a great plan. She seems as strong willed as her mother. Love to all xxx

  2. Tracy Pasco says:

She’s sounds a determined girl who knows what she likes and wants already – no tubes and Mum’s milk. You are in our thoughts and prayers constantly xx

She does look cross! Tracy has her pegged to a T!

Proper crying!!! That’s wonderful. I bet you never thought you’d be so happy to have a grumbly baby! She looks much happier without the C-PAP!
