Afternoon shift

I spent this morning organising the NICU library and Nicho Flicko-ing (school fundraiser) so I’ve spent the afternoon with Rose. Everything seems topsy turvy. She’s ok. Quite reflux-y though. This means she’s retching and having destats and bradycardias (bradys) regularly. Our cuddle wasn’t very settled as I was anxious about her breathing so kept trying to find a good position to hold her in… elusive.

She vomited green bile before I arrived so they stopped her feeds for an hour. Wondering if they need to decrease the volume as its been going up steadily daily. She put on 20g in last two days so she’s making them work for the 2.5kg mark. She’s currently 2.46kg

I have had a week of home cooked meals (cooked lovingly in someone else’s kitchen) and for this I gratefully thank you, fabulous, kind friends xx

Tomorrow is Rose’s due date!! I’ll take lots of photos. Today’s photo taken yesterday. It shows the scar from her incredible op well.

G’night.
