Rose has put on some weight instead of taking it off! Hopefully she will continue to head in the right direction. She was weighed last night – 1,710g. The number to beat at the moment is 1,720g. They generally weigh premmies 3 times a week (Mon, Wed, Fri). On level II they look for babies to put on 100-150g every couple of days so we have some grams to gain.
Her HMF (Human Milk Fortifier) has been changed from Cow & Gate to FM 85. I’ve asked about difference and Googled but can’t find much info on this. The only major difference Rose’s nurse, Anna, can find is that it’s more expensive but whatever the actual difference it does seem to make her vomit less.
Rose’s Bibliotherapy Library coming along nicely! Have some fantastic titles already. Thank you, again. It’s comforting and empowering to have something positive to work on that might help other people and I love that it’s all coming from you guys: Rose’s community 🙂
Not much news – next big thing on the horizon is another LBO (peek down her throat) to see what’s changed. That will happen first week in May. Fingers crossed no other unexpected “events” between now and then – though it would be nice to have her off CPAP – it’s not looking great at the moment. When they take her off to do her cares she does not look at all comfortable but latest xray of her tummy, bowel, chest etc. shows everything is looking as it should.
